The FDA came to MXM Social to help bring The Real Cost campaign to life on social media. Spanning Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and Instagram, the campaign is highly successful and utilizes a combination of GIFs, original illustrations, photography and user generated content. Our work also earned us a Health Effie Award in 2015.
HouseLogic is a site with all the information a homeowner would ever need regarding home-ownership. Their social media presence spanned Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest and was designed using custom illustrations and some occasional photography.
Halfzies is a conceptual app I worked on for my final project that I did while taking the UX Design course through General Assembly. Over the course of 10 weeks, we worked through concepts, wireframes, hi-fi wireframes and prototypes of our products. This required doing competitive analysis of existing apps, user interviews, creating personas, card sorting and figuring out all the necessary pieces to create a great app.
The idea behind Halfzies stemmed from the feeling that I was always wasting food. Cooking for one or two people is difficult because portions at the store are often more than what you need. Unlike other food delivery services that only offer ingredients specific to their own recipes, Halfzies would allow consumers to purchase the exact amount of any food or ingredient they need, all being conveniently delivered when and where they want. Foods are categorized and easily searched, potentially with a barcode scanner. Prices vary depending on portion size. Consumers then have the opportunity to setup their delivery either same day or in the future. Favorited and frequently purchased products can be saved to user profiles for quicker purchase in the future.
Lavazza is a well-known Italian coffee brand with a social media presence spanning Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Their work is a mix of illustration, original photography, video and a series of whimsical chalk quotes.
I was approached by InterAction, a coalition of non-profits in the Washington, DC area, to create a social media campaign for National Ag Day. The idea was that the images would be shared with several different non-profits that deal with issues such as food security and hunger around the world. They wanted National Ag Day to be more like International Ag Day. This was done through a series of custom illustrations for Facebook and Twitter.
Gaia Natural Cleaners is an all-natural cleaning products company based out of Indiana. The look is a little bit vintage, a little bit modern and very clean. This is one of my all time favorite projects.

These are idea comps to enhance the experience for Hyatt Gold Passport members. The "Dream List" idea allows members to collect their dream destinations in one place. It also shows how their rewards from every-day trips add up towards fulfilling a trip to one of their Dream List picks. Once you have taken that once in a lifetime trip, it gets stamped, and the itinerary is shareable via social media.
The idea behind Hyatt Gold Mine was to create a new kind of search experience by filtering based on qualities people look for in their ideal hotel.
